Tech Team Agenda: 3:00 - 4:00pm in Room 212

Attendance: Debbie, Carol, Lauren, Shelly, Caren, Brian, Jason and Andrea

Goal - SMART Board, Projector, document camera, sound system
Computer Lab/Cart Coding System
*Carol and Andrea created a coding system for the computer lab and cart sign up. This data will help document our need for more technology:)
We will review this data. Add Notebook

• Is there a way that we could track the people that wanted to sign up but the sessions were not available?

SMARTBoard installed in Room 212 - Thank you Jeff and Lucas!!!
Once teachers attend a SMART Board review session, the schedule will be ready to be posted on Wiki for teachers/classes to sign up
Lunch & Learn training dates and after school session dates: 8 Teachers attended these sessions and are ready to sign up to use the SMART Board:)

• Wednesday, March 2 – Lunch & Learn session
• Wednesday, March 2 – After school session
• Tuesday, March 8 - Lunch & Learn session
• Do we need to schedule more sessions? Plan lunch and after school sessions.
• Notebook software - Getting to know how to use this software

(Please contact Andrea if you would like to plan and/or co-teach a SMART Board lesson(s) with her.)
Tech Team will set guidelines for use if needed.

Tech Cafe' is rescheduled for March 31st

Professional Development Funds - Ed Tech funds
PD Ed. Tech funds will be used for release day with 1/2 day subs. This will allow for collaboration between teams and coaches.
Priority will be given to teams that have not had the Collaboration time this year.

Complex Thinking/Workshop Model - February Early Release
Collaborative planning & units that incorporate complex thinking within the workshop model:

Review and Vote on Classroom Technology Proposals: $11,325,10 (subtract SMART slate purchase)
Music proposal - Will impact all Barrington students and provide needed (replacement) publishing ability for both Music teachers.
Logitech Headsets - Would be used for fluency documentation & data.
Wireless Keyboard - Debbie can borrow one from Library.
Sibelius software for 2 Music classrooms - $770
Research Microphones USB


Operational Technology Funds - Jeff
Where are we heading? How will district funds support creating Innovative 21st Learning Environments? Please share the District next steps???
